Chemship launches world's first wind-assisted chemical tanker
The MT Chemical Challenger will operate on Chemship's transatlantic route between the US East Coast and the Mediterranean. With the installation, the ship becomes the first chemical tanker in the world to use wind-assisted propulsion.
Port of Rotterdam faces decreased productivity, but advances in terms of sustainability
The Port of Rotterdam, the largest and busiest port in Europe, recorded a 6.1% decrease in its total cargo movement in 2023, handling 438.8 million tons compared to 467.4 million tons in 2022. The decline is mainly attributed to a decrease in the movement of coal, containers, and other dry bulk. However, the agricultural bulk, iron ore and scrap and LNG segments saw an increase in production.
